2019 Albanian Festival
May 31- June 2, 2019
2019 Albanian Festival Initial Meeting
Tuesday, September 18, 2018 @ 7:00 pm
St. Mary’s Church Hall
It’s that time of year again and it only seems like yesterday when we put on one of our most successful Albanian Festivals ever!!
First and foremost, we know how busy everyone is, ourselves included, but we would like to see as many of you at the meeting as possible. We also know that several people have started new careers, are going back to school, and even got married! So, it’s imperative that we start early and line up new, additional members to the committee. Please bring a friend or family member that’s willing to get involved.
Also, don’t feel that you have to stay in the same role either. Sometimes change is good!
See you Tuesday, September 18!
Many thanks to all who gave their time and talent towards our 2017 Festival!
See you in 2019!
Rain or Shine under our massive tent!
With more than…
3000 lbs of lamb
Thousands of individual pastries
250 lakror pies
75 trays of baklava
Live entertainment from Europe & the USA
and hours and hours of volunteer time!!
This is an event that helps us build a stronger community, based on the vision that our parents and grandparents entrusted to us. We work tirelessly to ensure that their vision for the future of an Albanian Christian community lives on for generations to come. As we enter the 102nd anniversary of an established Albanian-American Community in Worcester, our hope is that we never forget the hard work and dedication of our predecessor’s which allowed us to become an integral part of the life of the City.
St. Mary’s and its volunteers are working very hard to preserve our Albanian traditions, as well as, maintain our culture, language, and ethnic identity. Our proud Albanian heritage comes alive every two years with traditional food, music, & dancing. We have a fantastic weekend planned, full of family fun and entertainment. With an anticipated attendance of over 10,000 people; this is an event not to be missed! Everyone is welcome to be Albanian for the day. It’s a place where neighbors, family and friends gather to have a great time, under the tent, no matter their race, religion or ethnic background!!
Mirë se vijnë or Welcome and when tipping your glass with a friend, say Gezuar which means Cheers!
If you can’t give of your time or talent, how about donating your some of your treasure? Be a proud Albanian and keep our Community strong!
